David Quevedo (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1974) is a composer & pianist of classical training, jazz vocation and with an extensive background as singer and arranger covering the most different styles & formats.
Amongst others, he works locally (on the islands) with productor & saxophonist Kike Perdomo and vocalist Esther Ovejero; and elsewhere has done so with artists of the calibre of David Mengual, Bob Sands & Chris Kase. He has also collaborated in recording projects with Pavel Urquiza & Richard Bona.
In the year 2004 he moved to Barcelona, where he came into contact with the members of his quartet : Jeppe Rasmussen (sax), Thomas Kent Warburton (contrabass) & Dani Domínguez (drums). After performing at the Jamboree Hall with this quartet, he cut a Demo in La Ramona in February 2006 using some of his own arrangements and featuring the young vocalist Nadia Basurto. In November of the same year they all got together to record in the studios 44.1 in Girona, being his first recording works with totally original material and produced by Kike Perdomo.
