The Group was formed in the year 1973, and had until 1983 a trajectory marked by the forcefulness of its sound and personality of its music. As much as in the construction of their own themes, as in the arrangements of themes taken from leading groups of the era of those such as Focus, Manfred Mann and even the Beatles, UNITED's music, in spite of the youthful age of their founder members as well as accounting for the later incorporation of a large list of musicians who came from a range of different sources within the scope of local rock, always had a common denominator, a concept all of their own, a vision of the music & sound of that time, which was known as the UNITED sound.
Within the circle of local rockers they became one of the most charasmatic & influential groups of their time despite not having released a record. Along these lines, one cannot forget that aside from their countless demos, it's worth pointing out the outstanding marathon work lasting nearly two years and the subsequent recording of Cantata del Mencey Loco, which in the version by UNITED lasted over 90 minutes. In any case UNITED always was more of a live group, powerfully live.
They return today because they refuse to "hang up their boots", and more than the need to show anybody who they once were, with the conviction that nobody is going to tear their hair out for them, and along the lines of current Blues-Rock, revitalised thanks to the new values which have emerged over the last few years.
Still, in spite of the fact that the components of the current formation of the group is the same as it had been on various former occasions, this is quite by chance MK10, from UNITED's past history, and since the immediate future looks encouraging the word has got round among the band and its immediate circle, the arrival of "Retorno de la Bestia" "The Return of the Beast".
