The twentyfourth edition of the Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz&Más gets under way next Friday with thirtytwo concerts on three islands and in five municipalities

  • The Cabildo (Island Council) of Gran Canaria, the LPGC Town Hall & Heineken all committed their support for the following edition in 2016

  • This year the Festival kicks off on Friday 3 July in The San Rafael Square in Vecindario

  • This evening, the first of seven warm-up concerts as a prelude to the main event will be held under the slogan Off Jazz&Más Heineken, in the ‘Aguere Espacio Cultural’ (Cultural Centre), and on Friday 26 in the The Paper Club

  • Thirtytwo concerts and about a hundred artists for a Festival that has consolidated & matured, renewing & revitalising its proposals & objectives

Entrance tickets for the concerts by the James Carter Organ Trio & Kneebody at the Leal & Guiniguada Theatres are now on sale

  • They will be held on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 July, respectively

  • These two groups will take us on a historic trip of jazz music with no set limits

  • Tickets are available on the website and at the Box-Offices at both venues

  • Two concerts for a fixed price of 15 euros

  • This year it regains its traditional commencement date and will start on 3 July
  • Yet again, Gran Canaria, Tenerife & Fuerteventura are the featured venues for the Festival
  • After an absence of four years Puerto de la Cruz returns to join the festival’s list of venues

The twentythird edition of the Festival exceeded expectations regarding the public, critics and level of budding artists

More than 15,000 people attended the open-air concerts held in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and LPGC

The Auditorium in Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura & the San Rafael Square in Vecindario were also full to capacity

The concert in the Guiniguada Theatre was sold out

The other concerts held in the two Auditoriums in the main islands' capital cities and Theatres Leal & Cuyás were two-thirds full

He performed last night in the Tenerife Auditorium to a packed house
