This year, among the artists programmed are some outstanding figures of the genre; well-known artists such as Bill Frisell, Ivan Lins, Maria Joao, Bill Evans & Dean Brown, and Palo! combined with other promising young ones considered to be among the best groups of contemporary music today, like Jacob Collier, Cory Henry, Becca Stevens, Alfredo Rodríguez, Charenée Wade, King Solomon Hicks and the members of Woman to Woman, authentic stars of jazz music, Renee Rosnes, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Anat Cohen, Melissa Aldana, Ingrid Jensen, Noriko Ueda and Allisson Miller.

The Festival once again also confides in the seemingly endless supply of local & national talent, as well as two Angolan bands who are the star attraction on ‘Africa Night’, Totó ST and Elenco Da Paz, together with another group based in Gran Canaria, Souñou Yon (Nuestro Camino). Ramírez expressed his wish “once more to surprise with new trends, we have prepared a programme featuring innovating artists who act as references for the present and the furure, some of whom have been awarded Grammy’s recently”. But not to forget “the great stars of jazz music, top billing figures, who combine in the programme with others whom we remain loyal to, the Canarian musicians, both those who are based here on the islands as well as others who have taken up residence abroad, keeping their groups active. For yet another year, included in the programme, is a an evening dedicated to Noche de África (Africa Night), on this occasion featuring two groups from Angola”.

Another novelty is the inclusion of the municipality of Adeje, which will stage two days of concerts; the consolidation of the Festival’s other regular venues, like Puerto de la Cruz, La Laguna & Santa Brígida, a new venture in La Palma & Lanzarote, and once again paying-entrance concerts at the principal premises in the Canaries.
